A large retailer needed a Business Intelligence solution to extract intelligence from the terabytes of point-of-sale (POS) data that was created from their brick-and-mortar stores.  After a business intelligence strategy, the client understood the value and ROI of an enterprise data warehouse and portal solution.  The strategy identified a number of areas of immediate payback for the investment.

SOLOMON TG created the data warehouse solution to "house" the POS data.  Additional internal operations and vendor related data were also integrated.  The extract transform and load (ETL) process was implemented using a tier one ETL tool. 

The face to the system was developed using a Cognos solution.   Operational managers received automated daily flash reports.  They were able to view additional reports in the report warehouse.  Executive management utilized a dashboard with key metrics.
